Who we are

If San Diego City College was a person, he or she would be described as welcoming, vibrant, resourceful and inspiring. City College is home to 18,000 students each semester. We are 12% African-American, 7% Asian/Pacific Islander,
3% Filipino, 45% Latino, and 25% White. More than 35% of our students are first generation college students, and the average age is 28. 61% of students receive financial aid, and 66% work while attending college. We are young, middle-aged, and older; veterans, returning students, students learning a specific skill for employment, and students who will transfer on to a four-year university.
